Adelmann Muskattrollinger VDP.ORTSWEIN
Muskattrollinger is a distinct variety that has been mentioned since 1836. Contrary to what one might assume, it is not a cross between Trollinger and Muscat, but a distinct variety from the Muscat family. The grapes themselves have a distinctive aroma, which has made them very popular as table grapes (Muscat d'Hambourg).
85° Oechsle. Fermentation over 7 days, aged in stainless steel containers. Dark, deep ruby in the glass. On the nose, the scent of gooseberries, cassis, and cardamom. Full-bodied and spicy on the palate, blood orange, green walnut shell, powerful aromas, tart and smooth finish.
Ideal as an aperitif (enjoy cellar-cool), with roasts seasoned with rosemary, thyme, and cardamom. Excellent with pizza and pasta, young Parmesan, and aged Gouda.
