Adelmann DER SCHWARZE LOEWE - Lemberger GG
Dry red wine Lemberger is one of the most popular grape varieties in Württemberg. The >Schwarze Loewe< is the top wine in our Lemberger collection, harvested from the best plots of our large “Oberer Berg” vineyard.
95° Oechsle. Grapes are halved. Shoot tips are wrapped, no leaf pruning, east side is moderately defoliated. Classic maceration for 12-18 days, malolactic fermentation, aged for 20 months in barriques, 50% new wood, French & Austrian oak.
Garnet color in the glass. Hints of wild cherries and herbs on the nose. Intense aromas of dark forest fruits and ripe blackberries on the palate, accompanied by a fine peppery spice and harmoniously integrated tannins. Very concentrated with nuances of cocoa, cassis, and an elegant acidity.
Fantastic with lamb, game, or air-dried ham, for example.
